19th September saw over 100 FE professionals attend a ‘CV and Job Search Workshop’ delivered by Protocol’s Regional Recruitment Manager Rebecca Chui at Edge Hill University.

The workshop, held in Ormskirk, Lancashire, was aimed at trainee teachers currently studying the PGCE for FE course at Edge Hill University. The course is full time and lasts for 12 months, during which they are able to pick up paid work around their studies, which was a perfect opportunity to offer our services as the leading recruitment agency in the FE sector.

After demonstrating and offering tips on how to ‘create the perfect CV for Education’, all the attending participants were invited to send across their CV for further individual assistance from one of our dedicated and specialist consultants within the North team, all of whom are on hand ready to support.

Rebecca said: “I really enjoyed delivering this workshop, it proved to be a big success, with a large number of students indicating an interest in our opportunities abroad, a fantastic addition to our ever growing International candidate pool! The session resulted in the registering of over 75 brand new candidates – that’s over 75% of the room! – who are keen to start placements within FE institutions”

It’s always rewarding delivering sessions of this nature to aspiring teaching professionals, as it gives us a great opportunity to get to know new talented and motivated individuals passionate about a career in FE. If you would like any tips or advice on how to make your CV stand out, don’t hesitate to get in touch with one of our Candidate Support Team who will be more than happy to assist you!
