With Rishi Sunak’s 2021 budget having been announced, the apprenticeship provision continues to see more investment and support from the government.
What’s been changed?
- Apprentice incentive payments have doubled to £3,000 for all businesses – that’s for all hires, of any age
- A new flexi-apprenticeship programme will allow apprentices to work for multiple employers across the same sector, a boost for industries with more flexible working patterns
These changes mean that the already booming apprenticeship provision is set to continue growing, with more people upskilling and retraining due to the pandemic, alongside those wanting a complete change in career – all whilst being able to earn a living.
