Here at Protocol, we know all about the importance of good people, we pride ourselves in ‘placing people first’ and have been doing so for 25 years now!
Our business is full of great people, and you may only interact with one or two in your work with us, but there is a whole army of support in the background from IT to Marketing and Compliance to Recruitment Consultants. We thought it was important for you to find out a bit more about the people that make up #TeamProtocol. In this series, you will find out a bit about the person behind the screen, or at the end of the phone.
To kick off the Protocol Spotlight series, we would like to introduce you to Harry Fussey, Recruitment Consultant for Senior Interim & Management. Harry has been part of the Protocol Family for 2 years’ and is based at our Head Office in Nottingham. Here’s what we found out about him:
- What car do you drive?
I drive Fernando, my 2006 Ford Fiesta Z-TEC sport and he soars across the motorways of the UK like a majestic eagle: powerful, sleek and good looking. He takes me to FE colleges up and down the country in style.
- What is your favourite food?
What isn’t my favourite kind of food might be a shorter answer. I am huge food lover but if I had to pick one I’d pick Beef Wellington, preferably one made by my mum.
- What is your favourite drink?
Again you guys just one? My go to is a pint of Guinness but any real ale would tempt me.
- What is your favourite film, book or TV show?
Now we are talking, the good stuff! Favourite Film: Pulp Fiction. I know it’s a bit cliche but I remember first watching it and just falling in love with the styling of the film, the music and Quentin Tarantino generally.
- Do you have any hobbies?
I am a singer, songwriter and play Guitar and Piano as much as possible.
- Tell us a fun fact about yourself
I once threw up in Alcatraz the notorious American prison that housed Al Capone.
- What sports teams do you follow?
Nottingham Forest, YOU REDS!
- What’s your dream car?
I’d like a really nice Land Rover Defender, preferably an old one with the benches in the back but that has been kept in great condition.
- What was your dream job as a child?
I wanted to be a singer or actor.
- What one skill or talent would you love to be able to master?
Carpentry or something with my hands. I’d love to know a craft.
- And finally, why do you love working at Protocol?
I love working at Protocol because of my team, they teach me so much and they all exude so much passion for FE… it’s infectious and I couldn’t do the job without them.
