Here at Protocol, we know all about the importance of good people, we pride ourselves in ‘placing people first’ and have been doing so for 25 years now!
Our business is full of great people, and you may only interact with one or two in your work with us, but there is a whole army of support in the background from IT to Marketing and Compliance to Recruitment Consultants. We thought it was important for you to find out a bit more about the people that make up #TeamProtocol. In this series, you will find out a bit about the person behind the screen, or at the end of the phone.
To kick off the Protocol Spotlight series, we would like to introduce you to Lauren Beaumont, Senior Recruitment Consultant on the South Team. Lauren has been part of the Protocol Family for almost 3 years now, and is based at our Head Office in Nottingham. Here’s what we found out about her:
- What car do you drive?
My trusty legs are my vehicle at the moment, I must say my calves and quads aren’t looking too shabby for it…
- What is your favourite food?
The current obsession is honey roasted parsnips and chicken that I have every day without fail. I’m known in the office for being a bit of an oddball when it comes to food with my combinations.
- What is your favourite drink?
Don’t judge me.. my favourite personal creation is a Tequila and Redbull.
- What is your favourite film, book or TV show?
The Wizard of Oz
- Do you have any hobbies?
I’m an avid gym goer and love walking too. I’m rarely inside and always on the go.
- What is your dream holiday destination?
If it was more of a cultural destination maybe somewhere like Tibet or perhaps South America, if we’re talking luxury holiday perhaps Bora Bora or the Maldives.
- Tell us a fun fact about yourself
I’m stronger than I look, I can leg press over 300kg.
- What sports teams do you follow?
Growing up when I used to play football I was Arsenal through and through, as the years have gone on I don’t follow football as much now
- What was your dream job as a child?
I was up and down like a yoyo with my career ambitions a child, from Archaeologist to Spanish Teacher to Pathologist, the list goes on!
- What one skill or talent would you love to be able to master?
Playing the Saxophone, it’s always fascinated me.
- What’s your favourite time of year?
I would have to say Christmas, I still get excited about it at the young age of 23.
- Do you have any pets?
I have a cat, she’s getting on a bit now but she’s still quite a diva like me
- And finally, why do you love working at Protocol?
At Protocol we are one extended family. The banter is second to none, we don’t have a day without laughing and cracking a joke or six. We celebrate each other’s successes and strive to support each other and aid growth whenever we can. I love how hard-working, driven and hungry for success we all are. Bring on the New Academic Year.
