The modules you will be delivering will include subjects such as food commodities, nutrition and food safety through practical application and development work. You will help the students explore current trend such as health, food availability, food security and the rise in food costs.

You will be working within the new multi-million-pound, state-of-the-art Food Science & Innovation Suite that comprises of: two specialist kitchens, a bespoke sensory evaluation room, a pilot plant and science facilities. All laboratories in the innovation area have been designed with the help of the food industry and replicate the environment that a student will work in after graduation.

The person & qualifications

  • Experience of teaching within Higher Education is essential
  • Qualified up to the level you wish to teach (e.g. Degree or Masters)
  • A teaching qualification is desirable, however not essential if you have relevant experience
