We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Lecturer to work at the college’s Centre of Engineering Excellence to work on a full time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be required to deliver a range of electrical/electronic courses from level 3 to degree level. You will work within the electrical Engineering team to support the development of courses, teaching and resources. As an integral part of the assessment and support for full and part time students you will ensure the continued high quality of the provision.
There will also be delivery of some the following units: Electrical Power, Electrical & Electronic Principles, PLC’s, Engineering Science, Instrumentation & Control, Inspection and Testing, 3 Phase Motors, Communications, Digital & Analogue Communications, Sustainable Design, Energy Management.
- To teach from level 3 to BEng level Electrical Engineering
- To develop and deliver best practice in learning, teaching and assessment
- To assess students work in accordance with the college and awarding body requirements
- To provide accurate and regular feedback
- To monitor and manage student attendance and promote positive behaviour
- To act as a personal tutor where required
The person & qualifications
- A recognised teaching qualification or the willingness to undertake one
- Previous teaching experience
- Hold a qualification at degree level in Engineering
- Up to date knowledge of the engineering industry
