Selby College Corporation is seeking to appoint a new Independent Member with strong financial skills and ideally a background in accountancy.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in the success of Selby College, sharing in the collective responsibilities of the Corporation, demonstrating commitment, pragmatism and the ability and willingness to inquire and challenge whilst acting in the best interests of College at all times.

Corporation Members play a crucial role in the success of Selby College. They are viewed as Non-Executive Directors and share the collective responsibilities of the Corporation, demonstrating commitment, pragmatism and the ability and willingness to inquire and challenge whilst acting in the College’s best interests at all times. A Corporation Member should also be a critical friend and advise and guide the Principal and his Senior Team accordingly. Corporation Members are ambassadors for the College.

The role of a Corporation Member is a non-remunerated position. You are in effect a volunteer but it is incredibly rewarding to serve your local community.
