We are currently recruiting for a College Counsellor for 20 hours per week on a temporary ongoing basis. The days/hours required are as follows: Monday 9:00 – 4:30 (inc half hour break), Tuesdays 9:00 – 4:00 (inc half hour break) and Thursdays 9:00 – 4:00 (inc half hour break)
- To provide an effective, confidential counselling service to students
The person & qualifications
- A Level 6 qualification Diploma in Counselling and/or relevant experience
- Accreditation with BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy)
- Knowledge and practice of BACP Code of Ethics
- Experience of working with young people
- Knowledge and understanding of the issues which bring FE and HE students to counselling services and factors affecting the mental health of students
- High level of personal integrity and be able to respect confidentiality
- Level 2 qualification in English& Maths and IT.
