Based in North West London they are looking for an experienced and professional Teaching Assistant, who can support and remove barriers for students to enable them to reach and gain a high-quality experience.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support students in two different campus working over 25 hour per week- Monday and Tuesday (campus 1) & Thursday and Friday (campus 2) with possible flexibility.

Role responsibilities
- To be an active member of the Student Services Team
- Be proactive in promoting learner services and support; including procedures for self and staff referral.
- To support students with additional needs in their learning, both in the classroom and on a one to one and small group basis as directed by learning support and/or vocational tutors.
- To assist students in the location and use of learning resources, including digital based resources.
- To support students in use of specialist equipment aids and adaptations.
- Contribute to the creation of a bank of learning resources to support students
The person & qualifications
- Relevant L3 qualification
- A-C in English & Maths
- Experience of embedding E&D and Shared Values in all aspects of the job
- Experience of setting smart targets for students to work towards
- Experience of promoting a service or subject
- Able to build and maintain effective relationships, particularly with young people
- Ability to form effective team working relationships with internal staff and external agencies
- Ability to engage and encourage participation in students
- Ability to form effective team working relationships with internal staff and external agencies
- Committed to own continuous professional development (please give information about your CPD during the past 2 years)
- To uphold and behave in accordance with the College’s core values
- A professional and flexible approach to work with a commitment to work across campuses and late nights/Saturdays as required
- Demonstrate the willingness to travel and work at all College campuses as service requires
- Demonstrate the willingness to participate in cross college activities e.g. enrolment, open days as College requires
- High level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality
- An understanding of limits and boundaries of the role and know when to refer to specialist agencies and professionals
