Protocol are working with a fantastic East Midlands based college to recruit British Sign Language Support Workers. As one of the largest further education providers in the country, this college offers a huge range of vocational and academic courses, helping their students find routes into higher education or their dream career. This education powerhouse is looking to bolster its Team by bringing in various candidates to work various hours (both part time and full time hours available) in order to support deaf students with note taking, interpretation and general classroom support. Role responsibilities

  • Supporting deaf students with note taking, interpretation and general classroom support
  • Motivating students to excel in their subject area

The person & qualifications

  • Ideally the candidate will have a BSL qualification
  • Recent experience of deaf awareness
  • Must be enthusiastic and inspiring to learners
  • Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or within 12 months (or be willing to apply for one)
