The College has seen an investment of over £48 million and their students benefit from a wide range of modern facilities and resources. The support from the teacher will include carrying out specialist assessments, monitoring hearing aids and cochlear implants.
This post offers an exciting opportunity for a successful highly motivated Teacher of the Deaf willing to work across a range of age ranges and abilities.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of the Deaf to join the colleges dynamic team, committed to helping children with hearing needs achieve the best educational outcomes and independence.
The timetable/hours for this position are yet to be confirmed by the college.
Role responsibilities
- Advising on the use of technology such as radio aids

Developing listening, spoken language or signing and communication skills and supporting children with their social skills and self-advocacy, accessing activities and preparing for adulthood
The person & qualifications
- Teaching qualification
- Previous teaching experience
- The successful candidate is to hold a level 2 Certificate or above in British Sign Language (BSL), and be confident in using BSL
