Protocol are delighted to invite a skilled counselling lecturer to deliver the level 4 diploma in therapeutic counselling lessons within a college setting based in West Lancashire.
The position includes all aspects of a course team leader role and liaising with an SV from the awarding body and preparing a moderation sample. Therefore we are seeking candidates who are passionate about therapeutic counselling and have the drive and motivation to help learners to progress in their careers, increase their employability and support their personal development. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in counselling, experience of teaching, and have strong organisational and communication skills in order to inspire and educate adult learners. The candidate must be aware of the requirements of the course especially the external assessment and should also have experience with the awarding body (ABC) and level 4 along with some experience with internal verification as the position will include internal verification of the levels 2 and 3 assessed work.
This role is part-time, consisting of afternoon hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (2-5pm & 6-9pm) totalling 12 hours contact time and 5 hours planning and marking, on a temporary basis running until July 2020.

- A qualification in a relevant subject
- A teaching qualification
- Experience teaching the level 4 diploma in therapeutic counselling
- Some experience with internal verification
- A registered member of BACP
