South Staffordshire College are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Progression Coach to support their Step up program (NEETS and adult provision) cross all campus’s and within the community.

This opportunity is permanent working 14.5 hours a week

Role responsibilities

  • To support learners through appropriate induction, personal support and to undertake initial assessments as required by College policies and procedures including requests for identified support as appropriate.
  • To prepare learning programmes to a high standard using appropriate individual and group techniques, including the effective use of e-learning activities and various assessment’s and materials, which encourage active participation in learning.
  • To coordinate the learning process by creating an appropriate environment, plan and structured learning activities, communicate effectively and review the learning process with learners.

 

The person & qualifications

  • Excellent local community knowledge
  • Ability to work on a rolling programme with excellent organisational skills.
  • Understanding of NEET, DWP and other provision
  • Effective IAG and coaching skills
  • Able to work with partners to develop innovative programmes in order to meet local need.
  • Ability to increase learner numbers from different funding opportunities.
