Protocol are currently recruiting for a Lecturer in Psychology , who will develop and deliver high quality teaching and supervision on potential undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the New Academic year.

We particularly welcome applications from candidates with A PhD in Psychology or a Professional Doctorate in Psychology (or near completion) as well as up-to-date, sound knowledge of clinical psychology.

Practitioner experience is advantageous. In addition, you will have a solid knowledge of general psychology as a basis for teaching on a variety of core BPS psychology curriculum areas, across our undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes. 

You must be eligible for membership of the British Psychological Society. 

Person Specification:

  • Doctorate (PhD) in psychology, ideally on a topic relevant to clinical psychology, applied psychology or individual differences
  • Experience of teaching psychology in a Higher Education setting
  • Track record of publications in respectable journals, commensurate with career stage
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching and research and to enhancing student experience
  • Commitment to professionalism in interactions with colleagues and students
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills
