Protocol are delighted to invite a skilled Software Development Lecturer to join a leading FE College based in South Yorkshire.

These are exciting times for the colleges Digital department with the recent opening of a new bespoke digital building and an innovative curriculum which includes apprenticeship growth and the introduction of T Levels.

We’re looking for a highly driven, subject specialist to join their Digital and Creative team as a Lecturer in Computing (Software Development).

The position offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your training and teaching skills; helping to develop an innovative, industry-focused curriculum in outstanding facilities. You will deliver an exceptional programme of industry relevant, vocational education within computing.

Role responsibilities

  • This post is required to support the delivery of both Work-Based Learning and provide T Level specialist skills within Software Development. Working with a core team of teachers delivering relevant Apprenticeship Standards as well as technically rich and specialist content on T Levels.

The person & qualifications

  • Previous training or teaching experience within software development 
  • A degree or equivalent level qualification in Computer Science or Software Development

  • Hold a teaching qualification
