Protocol are delighted to invite a skilled Land Based Lecturer to deliver Land based studies to students within a college setting based in Rotherham.

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about agriculture/ country side management and have the drive and motivation to help learners to progress in their careers, increase their employability and support their personal development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land based studies/ agriculture/ countryside management, experience of teaching, and have strong organisational and communication skills in order to inspire and educate learners. 

Units to deliver will include; 

  • Countryside Management 
  •  Plant and Soil Science
  • Countryside Estate Skills Activities
  • Managing Environmental Habitats
  • Woodland Management
  • Identification, Planting and Care of Trees
  • There may also be the possibility to teach some Animal and Horticulture units 

This role is part-time, consisting ~18 hours per week split over Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays and will run on a Temporary on-going basis with a review at Easter. 

The person & qualifications

  • A qualification in a relevant subject
  • A teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching land based studies across a range of levels
