Apply nowA leading national apprenticeship provider with ambitious 2021 expansion plans are looking to expand their team by bringing in a new Software Developer. The Software Developer will be involved in their growth plans by developing resources and platforms for them to grow and expand into one of their niche markets and they have incredibly high expectations of where this division can grow to.
You will be building integrations with third party software such as Slack and Discord, so any previous experience working on similar projects would be ideal.
Software Developer – £32,000-£35,000
Office located in Yorkshire but are open to people working from home so location is flexible
Experience needed
- Extensive knowledge of PHP
- Experience working with an MVC framework
- Extensive knowledge of RDMS (we use PostgreSQL)
- Experience working with version control (preferably GIT or SVN)
- Comfortable working with a large, existing codebase
- Experience in gathering data from various sources via APIs and crawlers
The person & qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, being able to work with the front line of the business to understand their needs and to design and implement solutions that meet them
- An understanding of best practices and a desire to follow them
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
