This opportunity is permanent working part time 22.2 hours a week (term time only)

Role responsibilities

  • Meets the needs of our learners with additional learning support requirements with a variety of learning differences and disabilities.
  • To work closely with curriculum teams to ensure consistency of support that builds on learners’ experience, learning preferences and levels of independence and encourages learners to work independently
  • Familiarise and use relevant information regarding individual learners’ educational needs from statements (EHCP, specialist reports etc)
  • To encourage supported learners to help raise their confidence and self-esteem
  • Promote independent and inclusive learning that will enable learners

The person & qualifications

  • Relevant experience of supporting and enabling learners with a learning difference
  • Experience of supporting learners with severe or complex needs
  • Level 3 English language and mathematics or equivalent
  • Level 3 in supporting teaching and learning
