Protocol are proudly working with a South Yorkshire Adult Education provider to recruit an experienced Lecturer for a unique position delivering Access to HE History.

This FE institution has a proud and celebrated history of providing educational opportunities for adults that have returned to learning. Much of the offering provides a platform to engage people back into education with the aim of designing a supportive learning pathway. This is so that every individual can reach their potential and use their learning to improve their lives both in their community and in the workplace. They deliver qualifications at all levels that give adults an opportunity to learn the skills needed to progress through further education, and move into gainful employment at the stage they choose.

This temporary role will see the successful candidate delivering ‘History Research Project’ and ‘Victorian Values’ modules of the Access to HE qualification on Mondays (for 5x weekly sessions) and Thursdays (for 10x weekly sessions). The sessions are for 3 hours at a time. 

Role responsibilities

  • Delivering ‘History Research Project’ and ‘Victorian Values’ modules of the Access to HE qualification in History

The person & qualifications

  • A teaching qualification
  • A degree in History (or related subject)
  • Previous experience teaching History Access to HE qualification
  • Passionate about giving adults the skills they need to reach their potential
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or issued in last 12 months)
