Protocol are delighted to invite a skilled Rail based service engineering skills coach/ assessor to play an integral part in coaching and mentoring apprentices through their Rail based service engineering training programme, within a college setting based in Nantwich. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual, with experience and a background in Rail, to coach, mentor, manage and review apprentices who are based in the workplace and attend college for training.  The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of working within the Rail sector, and ideally with a qualification in an Engineering or Rail discipline, whilst having a good understanding of the Standards for Level 3 Rail Engineering Technician Apprenticeship.

This role is a full-time permanent position within the college. 

The person & qualifications

  • Substantial industry experience in relevant occupational area. 
  • Relevant Level 3 or above qualification in occupational area or equivalent
  • Maths and English qualifications at level 2
  • Coaching / Mentoring / Assessor qualification (or equivalent is desirable or a willingness to achieve within a specified timescale)
  • Experience working with apprentices within Rail or Engineering
