Protocol are pleased to be working with University college Birmingham in their search for an experienced and highly motivated 1:1 tutor in Health and Social care. You will be joining the colleges team of award winning teaching staff for both vocational and academic education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 

The role will focus around promoting students’ learning and progressing in their vocational Health and Social care programme, by supporting the work of Lecturers and by providing individual and small group sessions focusing on developing practical and theoretical knowledge and skills.

This role is therefore ideal for candidates seeking full- time or part-time hours; working with small groups of students aged 16-19 with the aim of raising attainment and supporting them with successful completion of their Health and Social care programme. 

Responsibilities will include; 
* To plan for and provide individual and small group sessions focusing on a variety of Health and Social care modules.
* Explain and break down tasks for students in accordance with their needs, to support their understanding and enable them to learn.
* Work collaboratively with Lecturers to plan individual/small group intervention sessions to meet students’ needs.
* Provide feedback to pupils on their progress and achievement in collaboration with Lecturers.
* Establish constructive relationships with students and model positive interactions with them.

The person and qualifications; 
* Hold a degree in a relevant subject area or be working towards one 
* Have experience working within the Health and Social care industry 
* Be passionate about Health and Social care in order to motivate and inspire students 
* Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people
* Have excellent communication skills and commitment to working as part of a team
