South Staffordshire College are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Support Worker (for learners with complex learning difficulties and disabilities) to be based at their Tamworth Torc Campus

This opportunity will be permanent, part time working 7.5 hours a week, every Thursday.

Role responsibilities
• Meets the needs of our young adult learners with additional learning support requirements with a variety of learning differences
• Provide support for learners to develop education, communication, social, emotional and personal skills to assist with their preparation into adulthood.
• To work closely with curriculum teams to ensure consistency of support that builds on learners’ experience, learning preferences and levels of independence and encourages learners to work independently

The person & qualifications
• Relevant experience of supporting and enabling learners with a learning difference
• Level 2 English language and mathematics or equivalent
• Level 3 in supporting teaching and learning
