Protocol is delighted to be working with an education provider in London in the recruitment to the position of Assistant Director – Technical Apprenticeships.
The post holder will be responsible for the Apprenticeships in Engineering (Mechanical and Electrical), Motor Vehicle, Electrical/ Building Services and Digital sectors and being responsive to new opportunities that fall within these sectors such as emerging new technologies. The main purpose of the job is to drive the growth of the provision through levy and non-levy funding to meet regional economic needs by effective apprentice recruitment, high retention and timely achievement, positive employer satisfaction whilst applying the Funding Agency’s Funding Rules.
The person & qualifications
- A degree in a relevant, technical subject area
- An advanced level teaching qualification
- Management qualification (desirable)
- A skilled practitioner in teaching and learning and experience of implementing strategies to improve achievement and retention
- A strong understanding of the Apprenticeship Funding rules for both levy and non-levy funding
- Experience of successful apprenticeship curriculum management
- Understanding of the current and future technical sector priorities and developments
