Protocol is delighted to be working with Barnsley College in the recruitment to the position of Course Leader in Engineering.

The post holder will act as a course leader for Engineering programmes and will teach on a range of courses.

You will help to set up new courses and methods of curriculum delivery and contribute to the overall growth and development of the department..
  

Role responsibilities

  • Lead a course or courses and contribute to the review, planning and development of the curriculum
  • Develop new courses, curricula and/or methods of delivery.
  • To be responsible for student retention, attendance, achievement and success rates for named courses/cohorts of students.
  • Plan and prepare schemes of work.
  • Formally teach on a range of courses through a variety of methods.
  • Verify and certificate work as appropriate.

 The person & qualifications

  • Subject specific degree or professional qualification at Level 4.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed/QTS) or willingness to work towards.
  • Assessor and IQA qualifications (desirable)
  • Management qualification (desirable).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience
  • Line management or Course Leadership experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge of curriculum review, development and planning strategies.
