Protocol are pleased to be working with a Further Education College based in Moulton in their search for a Construction Technician to support both students and staff within the construction department of the college.
As a technician you will be responsible for the preparation of work areas and materials for practical classes, whilst also maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring tools and resources are stored securely. In addition to this you will also be responsible for supporting students in the completion of their practical work under the direction of members of the teaching staff and be committed to promoting the college’s commitment to best practice in equality, diversity & inclusion.
The ideal candidate will be experienced within the construction industry and be familiar and confident working within a workshop environment. The candidate will also be able to demonstrate experience of working with young people and evidence strong communication skills. You will have good numeracy and literacy skills and be prepared to use basic IT systems although training will be provided if necessary. A Fork Lift Truck licence would be an advantage although not essential. We would particularly welcome applications from those with a background in plumbing and/or carpentry.

This position is offering full time hours (37.5 hours per week) and will run on a permanent basis within the college.
