Protocol are proud to be working with a leading independent training provider who focus on delivering Leadership and Management Training. We are supporting our client in the recruitment of a new Management Coach to support the retention and achievement of learners on accredited programmes through training, support coaching/tutoring, progression monitoring, formative and summative assessment, verification, administration/record keeping and stakeholder communication.

Role purpose

Supporting the retention and achievement of learners on accredited programmes through training, support coaching/tutoring, progression monitoring, formative and summative assessment, verification, administration/record keeping and stakeholder communication. The key areas are Leadership & Management, Coaching, and Equality & Diversity but these areas might expand in future. The levels include Level 2 (team leader), Level 3 (first line manager) and Level 5 (middle manager).

 

Key responsibilities

Administration

  • Enter accurate data into required management and external body systems within set timescales 
  • Registering learners with ILM, CMI or other awarding bodies and ensuring they all understand and have access to resources available 
  • Keeping a log of the progress of all leaners on each programme in terms of, registration, relevant personal details in line with GDPR, programme modules, assignment progress, marking, internal verification and ordering/issuing of certificates
  • Supporting with quality assurance and compliance by maintaining robust and accurate records for all learners in line with audit requirements 
  • Support the Quality Assurance Manager with quality assurance and compliance processes, procedures and audit preparation 

Tutoring and coaching

  • Attending client mobilisation and review meetings where involved as support coach for that programme 
  • Work closely with external trainers delivering the content of accredited programmes to ensure support is aligned with the programme content 
  • Deliver live and pre-recorded awarding body inductions to learners and their line managers 
  • Design and deliver face to face or virtual workshops to cover the curriculum and criteria required by the awarding body 
  • Design and deliver regular support workshops to groups of learners using action learning principles

Assessment and IQA

  • Create assessment plans and alternative assessment methods in line with assessment criteria to meet awarding body
  • Assess written assignments for accredited programmes up to Level 5
  • Conduct and record professional discussions for specific units within accredited programmes
  • Provide Internal Quality Assurance for accredited programmes up to Level 5

Safeguarding

  • Support the Safeguarding Lead in their safeguarding duties for learners by acting as Deputy Safeguarding Lead

 

Qualifications and experience

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (AVRA) or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) – or former equivalents 
  • Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice or Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice – or former equivalents 
  • Level 2 English and Maths 
  • Level 5 or higher qualification in Leadership & Management, Human Resources, Business Studies or similar 
  • Ideal but not essential: a recognised teaching qualification e.g. Cert. Ed., PGCE, DTTLS 
  • Ideal but not essential: Level 5 or higher coaching qualification 

 

Experience

  • Occupational experience within the last five years in leadership or management equivalent to Level 5 
  • Experience with ILM and CMI within the last three years 
  • Experience with assessment and internal verification of leadership or management qualifications within the last three years at Level 5 
  • Strong IT literacy, in particular with Microsoft 365 packages and remote meeting software 
  • Full driving license and access to a car 
  • Right to Work in the UK
