Business Development Manager

The role

They are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to help develop their business development strategy, monitor core markets and identify potential new markets, developing viable operational deliery models and successfully tendering through large scale procurement exercises.

This role will focus on delivering the strategy for growth and expansion of their e-assessment market contracts, progressing opportunities to build on their existing contract base and expand this part of the business. This will include all aspects of bid writing and bid management for tendered business, as well as direct sales and partnership development to secure new contracts and revenue generating opportunities.

The skills & experience

  • Successful Bid Writer/Business Development Manager, with significant experience of bid writing and managing bid processes. An understanding of business development in a public sector/e-assessment context would be advantageous.
  • Experience of supporting/coaching small teams of more junior reports and working with them to achieve specific project outcomes and in the face of tight timescales.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

*This role can be home based across the UK but will require occasional travel to the London head office as and when required*
