Business Development Manager (New Markets)

They are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to help develop their business development strategy, monitor core markets and identify potential new markets, developing viable operational deliery models and successfully tendering through large scale procurement exercies.
This role will focus on delivering the strategy for growth and expansion of our business in our core markets, as well as into new markets and sectors. The organisation has an ambitious plan for growth and diversification, in which this role will play a pivotal part in driving this forward. You will evaluate potential markets, analysing the size and viability, identifying market entry routes and delivering the strategy. This will include all aspects of bid writing and bid management for tendered business, (with support from the team), as well as partnership development to secure new contracts.
The skills & experience
- Successful Bid Writer/Business Development Manager, with significant experience of bid writing and managing bid processess. An understanding or experience of business development in a public sector context would be highly advantageous.
- Experience of coaching /supporting small teams / junior reports and/or experience of collaborating to deliver specific projects demanding tight timescales.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- IT literate
- Presentation skills
