Protocol are working with a college in South Yorkshire to recruit for an experienced Engineering (Fabrication and Welding) Curriculum Team Leader.
The college have a new and exciting opportunity for a Curriculum Team Leader in their Engineering Department with a responsibility for day release apprenticeships across all pathways. You will be delivering engineering qualifications at all levels and will be responsible for overseeing the day release apprentices and onsite assessors. Ideally you should have a Fabrication & Welding background but other vocational specialisms within Engineering may be considered. This is a real opportunity as a passionate and innovative teacher and industry-skilled specialist to make this your own ‘Centre of Excellence’ within the region. As a Curriculum Team Leader, you will coordinate and lead engineering apprenticeship programmes and will deliver around 720 hours teaching, completing the relevant preparation and marking that supports this, and setting SMART targets to enable students to reach their potential. You will also supervise staff within your area and have some performance management responsibilities. Working with a supportive team including leadership from our Curriculum Manager, and working alongside other Curriculum team leaders and lecturers.
The role is full-time, permanent.
The role is mostly based on-site but may need some off-site travel.
The Person and Qualifications:
-Holds a Teaching Qualification
-Has experience teaching Fabrication and Welding (or similar within Engineering) and has the drive to take the next steps as a Curriculum lead.
-Has an Assessors Qualification
-Has Experience within Industry
-Literacy and Numeracy L2 or above
