Apply nowProtocol is on the look out for a HR Coordinator to possess a strong customer focus and working directly to the HR Manager, the remit of the HR Co‐ordinator role will be to provide a high quality and effective HR administration service primarily, but not exclusively, relating to a range of on ‐boarding and lifecycle processes and procedures
You will need an Enhanced DBS. Ideally on the update service
Salary: £25,400 – £27,600
Contract: 3 months FTC to be extended to permanent
The person & qualifications
- Working towards a CIPD would be desirable.
- Have a minimum of Grade C in English and Maths GCSE level (Level 2) or equivalent
- Experience of working in an administrative role.
- Maintaining administrative systems and procedures to improve HR service.
- Working on own initiative.
- Experience working in a generalist HR function with an understanding of core HR service delivery.
- Experience developing process maps with the ability to identify and implement continuous improvement
- Experience of having previously worked in a College or similar environment would be advantageous
Duties
- Undertaking all pre‐employment and safer recruitment checks ( e.g. right to work checks, DBS clearances, medical clearance and reference checks).
- Issuing conditional offer letters and contracts of employment in line with statutory timescales for new starters. §
- Responsibility for the administration of the induction process and new starter orientation .
- Putting new starters on SfP and notification to payroll.
- Monitoring and tracking of probation reviews.
- Responsibility for raising purchase orders through BluQube and ensuring all invoices are processed in a timely manner.
- Responding to external request for references for staff and other general requests (e.g. employee confirmation letters).
- Auditing personnel files periodically to ensure all necessary documentation are in place and can be evidenced.
- HR systems administration and implementation.
- General pay and conditions advice .
- Management of the leaver process, including acknowledgement of resignations and termination of contracts with agreed procedure, exit interviews and leaver notification to payroll and all relevant areas.
