Senior Research Fellow in Condition Monitoring of Machinery – (12 month fixed term contract)

Protocol are looking for a Senior Research Fellow to work with a university in West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to be in a position to lead the industry, working with a university that is a growing centre of research and excellence. They have achieved a Gold Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework Award.

Role Responsibilities:

  • You will provide overall management of the research projects.
  • You will undertake the evaluation, interpretation and criticism of existing literature and previous research materials.
  • You will be able to critically evaluate and interpret new data, forming new lines of thought in preparation for publication of research.
  • You will be able to plan, and manage a range of research methods appropriate to the research area.
  • You will complete research grant reports and funding applications, alongside other administrative tasks relevant to the project.
  • You will be able to deliver conference presentations.

The person & qualifications:.

  • You will have a PhD qualification in a relevant area of vibration condition monitoring or motor current signature analysis of machinery.
  • You will have extensive research experience, supported by various published papers.
  • You will have substantial experience in areas of vibration condition monitoring of machinery.
  • You will have experience of writing for journal publications, research reports and presentations.
  • You will have laboratory experience, and experience programming in Matlad.
  • You will have extensive problem solving skills and the ability to communicate ideas and project findings to others.
