Protocol is working with University College Birmingham to fine a passionate Children, Youth, and Families Apprenticeships Assessor for an immediate start, temporary role.

This is to cover staff sickness, and is needed ASAP. You will be assessing L4 and L5 Children, Youth and Families Apprenticeships, and you will be working 2 – 3 days per week.

This role is initially up until end of July, but may continue into August. It pays up to £27.21 per hour, based on qualifications and experiences.

You will be ensuring that apprentices and students are meeting the national standard, and liaising with fellow team members and college staff to ensure that any issues or lack of knowledge are addressed and resolved. The ideal candidate will have experience in Children, Youth, and Families Apprenticeships, but we will also consider applicants with a strong working background or experience in a similar roles/ qualifications (e.g. Childcare/ Early Years).

Role responsibilities

  • Assessing our students on Children’s, Youth and Families apprenticeships
  • Communicating with lecturers and students to help identify short-comings in knowledge and understanding
  • Ensuring students are safe within a constructive, learning-focused environment.

The person & qualifications

  • Ideally you will have a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care/ Young People’s Services/ Adult Management
  • Experience in assessing these types of qualifications
  • A DBS, or be willing to apply for one
