Job Title: Performing Arts Lecturer 

Hourly Rate: £19.92- £25.14ph + Statutory Holiday 

Hours: 14.5 hours per week 

 

 

Quality Resourcing Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of Stamford College for a part time lecturer in Performing Arts to start with the college for the new academic year. This role is on a temporary basis until the end of the academic year in June 2023. 

 (Preferred start date August 17th 2022)

 

The ideal candidate would hold a degree level or above in Performing Arts. 

 

Teaching spans UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Performing and Production Arts and the UAL Level 4 Professional Diploma in Performance.

 

The role will involve planning, delivery and assessment. Experience working in FE is desirable. 

 

Suitable applicants would have a broad range of skills related to teaching performing and production arts alongside current industry professional experience to impart to learners. Ideally the candidate would be able to teach dance and singing alongside acting.

 

It will be necessary for the post holder to work specific evenings during performance/assessment terms to facilitate shows and college open events. 

 

Role Responsibilities

 ⁃ Develop students’ knowledge and skills in performing arts. 

 ⁃ Ensure learners are engaged with the subject and through effective planning and delivery prepare learners fully for assessment.

 ⁃ Use experience and knowledge to organise impactful effective sessions to help students to improve and develop.

 

 

The Person and Qualifications 

 ⁃ Hold a teaching qualification or be working towards one.

 ⁃ Hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualifications.

 ⁃ Have good organisational and planning skills, able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently. 

 ⁃ Be passionate, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the arts and have ability to motivate and engage learners.
