Apply nowProtocol are working with a Further Education College based in Greater Manchester to help recruit for a GCSE English lecturer. This role is a temporary position with the option to extend for the full academic year if required.
The Lecturer will be responsible for delivering lectures to students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and engaging with students. In this role, you will work closely with the rest of the team to ensure that the lecture is well-planned, delivered in a way that engages students and fosters learning, and that the class materials are set up to support the content.
The Role;
- 15 hours per week
- To help assist with the very large numbers of re-sit learners.
Responsibilities: Plan and deliver lectures to students in a classroom setting
- Set up and maintain classroom materials and equipment
- Ensure that the lecture is well-planned, engaging, and well-delivered.
- Monitor student engagement and student learning
- Monitor class materials and equipment
- Collaborate with other team members on projects (e.g., grading)
- Provide feedback to other team members on projects (e.g., grading)
- Participate in project planning meetings with team members.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues via email, phone, or in-person meetings.
- Track attendance and progress accurately
- Provide feedback to other team members on projects (e.g., grading)
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills (oral & written) interpersonal skills (friendship & relationships) customer service skills (workplace & school environment) organizational skills (planning & time management) problem solving skills.
A successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of how to plan and implement effective classroom activities. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong oral/written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; excellent organizational skills; good planning & time management skills; ability to work independently & collaborate effectively; ability to create clear presentations; good listening skills; high level of accuracy; strong critical thinking skills; an ability to adapt presentations based on student feedback; strong ability to multitask effectively; adapting quickly when necessary; high level of professionalism in interactions with faculty, staff, students & parents. An ideal candidate must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
