Protocol are working alongside an excellent college group based in Windsor. We are currently supporting them with recruitment of a Curriculum lead In Electrical Installation on a full time permanent basis.

Salary: £28743.00 to £41400.00(depending on experience and qualifications) + £1,500 Curriculum Lead uplift
Role responsibilities

To provide high-quality teaching and assessment in the subject areas required, ensuring an excellent quality of education and training and actively encouraging and promoting student learning and to assist with the management of day-to-day operations of the curriculum area.

To lead a high performing, efficient learning area, ensuring high student success and high levels of student satisfaction.

To deliver an annual set of KPIs as agreed with the Vice Principal and Business Unit Director (BuD).

To promote high standards of teaching, learning and assessment within the area, producing high standards of student achievement, progression and value added.

To undertake quality improvement activities to support the curriculum area needs and promote new ways of learning.

To lead the strategic growth of the curriculum area in all areas of provision to include funded and commercial courses.

To grow and develop the commercial operations within the area to meet the needs of industry and offer industry placement opportunities for all students.

To promote the strong, positive reputation of the curriculum area and the college, through relationships with external stakeholders, schools and parents.

To work collaboratively and innovatively with staff to ensure a culture of self-assessment and continuous improvement.
The person & qualifications
- A Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Certificate in Education
- Assessor/Verifier awards
- Further Education curriculum delivery planning and administration experience
- A proven record of promoting teaching, learning and assessment to a consistently high standard
- Up to date knowledge of curriculum and teaching and learning, proven through continuing professional development
- An understanding of the contemporary educational issues that impact student engagement with education and their learning
- An understanding of equal opportunity, safeguarding obligations and health and safety, relating to students and curriculum delivery

- Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Application of digital technology to learning
- Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
- High degree of personal presentation and customer care skills
- Practical problem solver, with decision making skills
- Ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing
- IT and keyboard skills, including the use of email
- Flexible in approach
- Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners
- A commitment to ensuring quality of provision, including tutorial support
- Able to lead others while retaining the ability to be part of a team
- Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service
