The role is a full-time, permanent Digital Course Leader position based in Berkshire. The professional will report to the Programme Leader Adults. The course leader will be responsible for the efficient and effective management, co-ordination, and delivery of Adult Digital courses/learning programmes. Additionally, you will ensure the delivery of Digital programmes funded under the Adult Skills Fund and Tailored Learning, both on the main college site, employer premises and community venues.
Further responsibilities include.
- To be proactive in the design and development of Adult Digital courses, marketing those courses and identify learning opportunities and projects to be delivered both on campus and externally for the benefit of the residents of West Berkshire.
- Ensure funding compliance and awarding body standards are met in all areas. Arrange EV visits and attend EV visits as necessary.
- Obtain and maintain Direct Claims Status for all Adult Digital programmes
- Organise and manage the efficient day to day running of the Adult Digital provision, including administration and timetabling.
- Promote adult digital courses in West Berkshire and work with local companies and community groups to increase opportunities to deliver digital programmes in workplaces and community venues.
- Manage the individual assessment and admissions process for students enrolling on Adult Digital Programmes, including arranging for payments to be collected. This may include interviewing students to ensure that they are on the correct course.
- Manage the provision of equipment, materials, accommodation, and other resources required for Adult Digital learning programmes within agreed budgets.
- Manage the overall administration of Adult Digital courses to ensure that student records and progress are maintained correctly on the relevant IT platform, that student’s registrations and exam entries are completed in a timely manner. Ensure that withdrawals, completes and progression are tracked and monitored.
- Deliver 243.5 hours on adult digital courses and deliver/ facilitate/ engage tutors to deliver on ASF and Tailored Learning programmes to meet annual funding targets.
- Maintain responsibility for standardisation and assessment of tutors’ lesson plans, and course material, to ensure a high-quality provision
- Liaise with awarding bodies, other stakeholders and partner organisations to develop and ensure the quality of Adult Digital programmes on offer. Lead relevant internal/external stakeholder meetings as required.
- Ensure the appropriateness of Adult Digital and Distance Learning provision. In collaboration with tutors explore new curricula/programmes and develop and implement marketing strategies to expand delivery and improve learner numbers.
- To be responsible for the termly data, self-assessment and quality improvement reports of Adult Digital Courses and the implementation of action plans arising from these reports. To prepare the area for Inspection as requested.
