SEND Employability Coach (Project Search Tutor)

Further Education College based in Shrewsbury 

Duration: Temporary

Full time hours – 37 hours per week. 

To be the main staff member responsible for the progress of college students on the Project Search Supported Internship programme based at local Hospital.

• To co-ordinate the delivery of a transition to work programme for young adults with a learning disability
• To deliver the employability curriculum whilst embedding Maths and English and using job coaching techniques to support young people’s development towards employability.
• Plan, deliver, assess and administer student’s work in order to meet their requirements for achievement of the outcomes of their programme. 
• Contribute to the job coaching of interns on rotation.
• Assess the needs of young people on the programme and make referrals to appropriate support services for training and successful employment,

Requirements:

• Ability to deliver and assess the identified curriculum
• A teacher training qualification or a commitment to undertake such a qualification
• Knowledge of how to support students with additional learning support needs
• DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
