Job Advertisement: SEN Lecturer (LEC SEND – High Needs)

Location: Romford

Working Hours: 36 hours per week

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified SEN Lecturer specializing in High Needs (LEC SEND) to join our team in Romford. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and supporting learners with challenging behaviours, particularly those aged 14-19.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Qualified Teacher: Must hold one of the following qualifications: PGCE, QTS, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
  • High Needs Provision Experience: Proven experience in providing high needs support.
  • Teaching Qualification with Relevant Sub-Specialism: Specific expertise in a relevant sub-specialism.
  • Experience with Challenging Behaviours: Recent and relevant experience teaching 14-19 year old learners with challenging behaviours.
  • Functional Skills Teaching: Recent teaching and assessment experience in either Functional Skills English or Maths.

Desirable Criteria:

  • FE College Experience: Experience working in a Further Education (FE) College setting.
  • Vocational Subject Teaching: Recent teaching and assessment experience in a vocational subject.
