About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lecturer in Professional Services to join an FE College in Tottenham. The successful candidate will coordinate, teach, and assess a range of AAT qualifications, including Accounting, Computerised Accounts, Payroll, and Bookkeeping. As a subject teacher and course tutor, you will support students effectively in all aspects of their learning, produce engaging activities, and mark quality assessments of students’ work. Additionally, you will be responsible for producing high-quality course documentation and maintaining student records, including individual assessment records, and completing all relevant administration work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, teach, and assess AAT qualifications (Accounting, Computerised Accounts, Payroll, and Bookkeeping).
- Support students effectively in all aspects of their learning as a subject teacher and course tutor.
- Produce engaging activities and mark quality assessments of students’ work.
- Produce high-quality course documentation and maintain student records, including individual assessment records.
- Complete all administration work relevant to teaching on College courses.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience teaching Accounting and Financial qualifications to 16-18 and 19+ learners.
- Hold a teaching qualification.
- Experience with the AAT Framework of delivery.
- Ability to support students effectively in all aspects of their learning.
- Understanding of the structure of accounting qualifications (e.g., AAT, ACCA).
- Knowledge of current finance and accountancy methodology.
- IT literate, including the ability to use virtual learning environments such as Moodle and spreadsheets.
