Position: Lecturer in GCSE English & Functional Skills
Salary: £31,937 – £42,919 per annum
Hours: 36 hours per week
Leave: 47 days per annum plus public holidays and up to 5 days Christmas efficiency closure
Location: Isleworth, West London – Main Campus, with potential work at the Skills Centre
About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to teach English to students aged 16-18 and 19+, covering vocational and free-standing English qualifications from entry level up to Level 3, including GCSE English and Functional Skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality classroom teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement student-centered teaching strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring high levels of attendance, retention, and achievement.
- Participate in quality assurance processes and course development.
- Provide career and further education advice to students.
Requirements:
- Recognized teaching qualification and Level 3 or above in English.
- Experience teaching English to a range of levels, including GCSE and Functional Skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to respond to diverse student needs and contribute to curriculum development.
- Strong IT skills and ability to work independently.
