Apply nowProtocol are working closely with a Further Education College based in North Shields in their search for an experienced Skills Development Coach to support students across the college.
Skills Development role includes:
- Encourage student time management and work organisation, supporting the student’s understanding of what is expected of them and to plan to achieve this.
- Plan, research and utilise up-to-date resources to support the programme, to include opportunities for community collaboration towards a community project.
- Plan & deliver engaging and effective sessions on wellbeing and employability including mental health, wellbeing, resilience, interview skills, workplace etiquette, job search and applications
- Responsible for a caseload of student’s development and destinations
- Arrange and facilitate external speakers, and promote links with employers and industry.
- Motivate, encourage and support participants to move towards progression and next steps and tailor a package of support to meet their individual needs.
Candidate requirements:
- Candidates should possess a minimum of a Level 3 qualification
- Minimum of GCSE 4/Level 2 in Math and English.
- Previous experience of working in an educational setting would be beneficial. Candidates require excellent organisational skills.
- Candidates should have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students, staff and external stakeholders.
- The ability to travel independently is essential to the role as it requires significant travel around the North-East.
