Job Duties:
- Coordinate employability skills programme delivery for a rolling caseload of students in a wide range of sector-specific programmes. Such as Business Administration, Customer Service, Hospitality, Adult Social Care, Digital Skills etc.
- Provide recruitment and selection support to build your caseload of students
- Provide both academic and pastoral support to students, working with them to raise their ambitions and aspirations, ensuring they realise their full potential.
- Undertake all aspects of student assessment including initial assessments, internal verification and liaison with external verifiers and awarding bodies as required.
- Comply with the college’s maths and English strategy, maintaining your ability to embed both subjects into your teaching practice.
- Work with colleagues responsible for student services to deliver an overall student experience, which engages, inspires and prepares students for the world of work.
- Work with the Team Leader and Quality to continually strive for excellence and improve standards.
- Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders to maximise opportunities for employer engagement in the learning process.
- Support college marketing and recruitment activities to attract potential learners and improve conversion rates.
- Must have access to own vehicle and be willing to travel.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in delivering training or coaching sessions
- Maths and English qualifications to GCSE grade C or equivalent or ability to achieve.
- Assessors Award A1 or equivalent (Preferable)
- PTLLS qualification or other relevant teacher training (preferable)
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in delivering employability training or related roles
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in training others in non-traditional teaching environments
- Knowledge of employability skills and the job market
- Previous experience working within the employability sector
