We are seeking a Learning Resource Officer (LRO) – Plumbing to join our Building Services team. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 31/07/2025, offering a competitive salary of £24,853 – £26,882 per annum, including London Weighting.
Role Overview: The Learning Resource Officer (LRO) – Plumbing will provide essential technical support for staff and students within the Building Services department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise closely with the Curriculum Manager and Head of Department to ensure support aligns with the Directorate’s needs.
- Prepare materials and apparatus for demonstrations and practical work, including examination requirements.
- Install, check, and implement new equipment and resources, ensuring correct operation.
- Care for and maintain tools and tool stocks, managing their issue to and collection from students.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Formal qualifications in the relevant subject area up to Level 2, including English and Maths.
- A Level 2 IT qualification is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and team development skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong IT and administrative skills, with the ability to keep accurate records of tools and equipment.
- Ability to demonstrate the use of equipment, ensuring adherence to safe working practices.
- Recent and relevant experience in a plumbing training centre or similar establishment, or working towards a Level 3 qualification in the relevant subject is desirable.
