Working Days: Monday and Wednesday (with the possibility of Tuesday)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Lecturer to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students with a mix of Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and those working at Entry Levels 1 and 2 (E1 E2).
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with PMLD and E1 E2.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with PMLD and E1 E2.
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
Working Hours:
- Monday and Wednesday, with the possibility of additional hours on Tuesday.
