Our client is seeking Policy Facilitators with a teaching, assessing, coaching or training background to support Civil Service Apprentices on the Policy Officer Standard. The successful candidate will be an expert in government policy and the ability to transfer this knowledge to their learners.
The Policy Officer Apprenticeship Standard outlines the roles as follows:
The primary role of a policy officer is to shape and/or influence government policy, by working with a wide range of stakeholders and experts to gather evidence, effectively synthesise information and present recommendations to senior colleagues. Not only will policy officers work within central and local government, but also within private and third sector organisations that interact with and strive to influence government policy.
- Support learners through their Policy apprenticeship qualification
- Travel throughout the Midlands area supporting learners
- Liaise with all relevant parties in order to give feedback on all learners
- Provide a high quality coaching and mentoring to learners
- Uphold the reputation of the client through high quality provision
- Assess learners in the line with the standard
- Be flexible in terms of working patterns
The person & qualifications
- Experience within a Government Policy-focused role
- A training, assessing or teaching qualification and/or experience
