We are working on an exciting research post for a Provider in the North West, who have a very strong track record when it comes to making tax credit claims but in preparation of overlaying reports and the assurance of accuracy in costed claim presentation assistance is now needed.


Role responsibilities

  • Liaising with clients to understand their business and collect information that will enable robust funding applications to be prepared with the best possible chance of succeeding in the competitive grants arena – and copper-bottomed claims that meet all of HMRC’s requirements

  • Helping prepare tenders, seek private investment and/or loans as required in clients’ support
  • Maintaining good communication with clients – and ensuring that T4C’s performance monitoring and reporting requirements are complied with

  • Building solid and sustainable relationships with referral leads, grant funding administrators and commissioners, investment brokers, HMRC contacts, our supporting accountants and so on

  • Helping optimise T4C’s success rate in bidding, tendering, income generation to fuel business growth – and the retrospective claim of R&D Tax Credits too in the interests of easing pressure on cash flow and enabling further investment in business development

  • Undertaking any work deemed appropriate by the Directors, Funding Service Team Leader and R&D Team Supervisor


The person & qualifications

  • Experience gained in researching and writing successful funding proposals – public, private and/or third sector

  • Excellent research, written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organisational, project, resource, risk and time management skills

  • A degree in business and management studies (desirable)
  • A positive attitude towards team work and wider business support
