Security Officer – Full Time Permanent

Loughborough, East Midlands

Working at a top college in Loughborough, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective security service to the college.

The college is rated as “Good” and feedback from existing staff is that it is a site with friendly students and staff.

Role responsibilities

  • Conduct security patrols across campus and college accommodation to deter potential threats.
  • Provide a customer focused security presence on campus.
  • Act as a point of contact for students, staff and visitors.
  • Support the enforcement of all college policies.
  • Manage all traffic related issues within the campus grounds to include carparks, gates, barriers, signage and the issuing of tickets for non-compliance etc.
  • Responsibility for the unlocking and locking of all campus building, gates, barriers etc.


The person & qualifications

  • Level 2 maths & English (GCSE A-C or functional skills)
  • SIA Licence
  • Experience in security and locking down buildings on a large site
  • Proven experience of delivering excellent customer care and services in a large organisation
