This is a temporary position until approx April 2019.
Role responsibilities

Act as the lead safeguarding officer at the Windsor campus, being the first contact for safeguarding concerns, liaising with the Head of Safeguarding and Well being, external partners and the curriculum areas to keep students safe and to keep relevant staff informed of current and ongoing student cases

Act as the key contact for well-being/welfare cases, working directly with students, parents, lecturers, managers, pastoral teams and external partners as required to ensure the provision of good advice and support to those students who are vulnerable and/or have barriers to learning.

To be part of a student-facing team and service, providing day-to-day support to students and the Student Services team

To contribute where required to the operational management of the student management procedures including from a safeguarding perspective.
The person & qualifications
- Significant safeguarding experience and/or qualifications, preferably working with the 16-18 age group or within education
- Must be able to work with vulnerable and challenging young people, parents and carers, including managing behaviour around campus
