A specific focus of the role will be to liaise with high schools to deliver the college’s high school liaison activity, develop and implement the range of college events and support the college’s marketing messages and content across all its promotional channels.

Key Accountabilities: 

  • To maintain and develop effective relationships between Macclesfield College and high schools.
  • To implement the Marketing Team plans and activities that support achievement of high school application targets.
  • To take responsibility for the development and delivery of events across the full range of marketing activity, for example high school, university, apprenticeship and employer responsive.
  • To represent the college at events and activities both face to face and virtually, e.g. at high schools, Open Evenings, Results Days, external activities.
  • To deliver effective and inspiring presentations to school pupils, parents and other influencers as required.
  • Plan and deliver programmes and taster activities for potential applicants.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with applicants throughout the academic year to facilitate the conversion from applicant to enrolment.

  • To ensure the key messages and college brand is promoted effectively and is consistent within markets and across all college content
  • To implement and review the college’s high school liaison presentations and advise on other promotions to support the activity, as appropriate.
  • To be responsible for the accuracy, appropriateness and language used in high school presentations and promotions, liaising with other areas of the college as necessary in order to do so.
  • To work closely with the Marketing Team members and provide cover and support internally and externally as required.
  • To support the Marketing Team with additional duties which may arise and could include the organisation of literature, preparation of events and associated tasks
  • To develop press and success information into planned literature and communications e.g. success stories, leaflets and web content.
