We are looking for a passionate Senior Software Developer to share their experience and assist with a project to migrate software to the cloud. You should appreciate good software design, enjoy improving code and implementing sound coding practices, have experience in using cloud technologies, have strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn new technologies.
The software supports the business in managing day to day operations around recruitment and DBS checking. As an agile team that is passionate about delivering software in a fast paced and challenging environment, we need somebody who is a committed team player. We recently migrated to making use of Azure DevOps for managing the development lifecycle and plan to continue implementing improvements towards achieving continuous delivery.
You will take responsibility for creating and maintaining excellent relationships with:
- Finance Director
- Project Delivery team
- Software Development team
- Network Administrators
- Internal customers of the Software Development team
You will be involved in moving software to the cloud, alongside standardising the code base. After this has been achieved, the business has lots of great ideas that will need to be designed and implemented:
- Extending existing coding standards
- Supporting the introduction of infrastructure as code
- Extracting existing services into microservices
- Mentoring junior members of the team
We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated and can exhibit an ability to work using their own initiative to approach problems logically and analytically whilst under pressure. You should be experienced in agile practises and have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
You will need to have a good understanding of the following technologies:
- .Net – Core, Framework, Webforms, ASP .Net MVC, #C
- Cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure)
- Web API Development
- MS SQL
- Entity Framework
- HTML5, JQuery, CSS3
